How quarantine has changed our lives?

Hello, my name is Gabriela Escaño and today I will talk to you about how quarantine has changed our lives.

Quarantine has benefited us as it has affected us negatively, in this case I will show you some of the cases that the world is facing for most of us, our routines have been interrupted. We are living our lives in stark contrast to how we lived them before.

This quarantine has shaken our entire lives, including places where we find comfort. And if we use our time wisely, we prepare ourselves and our families to try new things, form new habits, and challenge the way we've always done business.

The quarantine might be just what you need to improve your life, career and future
POSITIVE FORMS

It gives us time to think

Most of us lead incredibly busy lives, and we rarely make time for ourselves. It seems like a big challenge to get a little quality time with us alone because there are so many other things to do.

We need to pick up groceries. Take the kids to soccer practice or their swimming meeting. Have lunch with a friend. Go on dates. Whatever it is for you, there is always an excuse to keep going.

Encourages us to be creative

When our routines get messy, we are forced to adjust and make new ones on the spot. And, most of us are also doing this as we go along. We approach each day without any guarantee of what the day will be like.

As a result, it is forcing many of us to think more creatively. To try new things or start doing the things we've always wanted to try. And, this may be your chance to start letting your creative juices flow and try your hand at new things.

NEGATIVE FORMS

Lonely feeling

Lack of connection can cause a feeling of loneliness and is especially aggravated in those who live alone. Thoughts of the type "what should I do if something happens to me" may appear. It is important to note that others are going through the same situation and that it may be possible to establish new ways to link us. Perhaps with people around us (neighbors, merchants in the area, among others) or also through virtual means that until now we had not used.

Anxiety

The situation can cause unpleasant feelings in relation to uncertainty. In turn, behaviors and thoughts that seek to flee from reality may appear. Thoughts like "I'm going to sleep until this is over." It is important to try to maintain a routine, establish a series of activities to carry out during the day and separate a space from it for recreation.

Sadness

This situation can occur due to the breakdown of daily life. It can also be aggravated by isolation and by repeated contact with negative news. Thoughts of the type "I don't feel like doing anything" may appear. In this sense, it is vital to share these feelings with the people with whom you share your home or with others through virtual means.

Conclusion

Though the quarantine has dramatically changed our lives, that doesn’t mean that things will get worse. In fact, this extra time at home might be exactly what you need to start building better habits to improve your life, career and your future.
However, modeling studies consistently reported a benefit of simulated quarantine measures, for example, quarantine of people exposed to confirmed or suspected cases avoided 44% to 81% of incident cases and 31% to 63% of deaths compared with no measure based on different scenarios. The evidence suggested that the sooner quarantine measures are implemented, the greater the cost savings.
